The Indigo2 IMPACT 10000 workstation is the industry's most powerful desktop workstation. Combining the highest level of CPU performance, visualization technologies, and a true 64-bit software environment, Indigo2 IMPACT is set up to compute large databases, render complex models and images, and solve the most challenging technical and creative computing problems. The 64-bit bus architecture of Indigo2 IMPACT enables fast data transfer between the processor core, main memory, I/O systems, graphics systems, and any boards plugged into the GIO 64 expansion slots.

The Indigo2 Workstation has a 250 MHz processor, 128 MB memory, a GIU Extra graphics board and Galileo video interface. The system runs on IRIX version 6.2. Built-in functionality includes memory expandability, EthernetTM networking, two serial ports, a parallel port, and five audio connections. It also has two independent Fast SCSI-2 controllers and three  internal SCSI bays to allow Indigo2 be configured with a variety of peripheral options.
