How to change image pixel size and colour display settings after scanning.
Adobe Photoshop
In Adobe Photoshop, open Image and select
Image Size. A window opens up which displays the Pixel Dimensions
(the size of your image in relation to your screen size) and Print Size
of your image. If you want to resize your image, you have to keep Resample
Image on and if you want to keep the same proportions of width and
height, keep Constrain Proportions on. In the Pixels Dimensions
frame, change the width and/or height of the image to the size that
you want in proportion to your screen size. Image pixels will be resampled
to fit in with the new proportions. A word of warning: resampling leads
to a loss of image quality as new pixels are being "deviced" for the new
image size, based upon the old pixels values of the original image. This
means that during resampling, some pixels values may be averaged or incorrectly
represented, resulting in an image of lower quality.
